HARTFORD BRIDGE

COMMENTS AND REMINISCENCES

Jamie Olcott writes: I have one clear reminiscence about the Bulkeley Bridge: Dad always referred to it as "The Cheney Bridge"!

I also seem to recall that there were about a dozen brass [?] plaques on it - set in alcoves - presumably the images of the Commissioners of the "Hartford Bridge"? In the bridge pix found online, there's one plaque shown, perhaps of Commissioner Bulkeley.
