• Ralph Geer writes, "I traveled this road many times to and from Manchester High School - both the old one and the new one.
"The picture is taken uphill from the train trestle looking west. If you were to go under the trestle, Moriarty Brothers would be on the right. Center Springs pond is up over the hill to the right (north of the picture). Center Congregational Church and the library would be up the hill behind the photographer in the pic."

• Susan Barlow replied to Ralph, "Thanks, Ralph. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
"Moriarty Brothers and the succeeding business, Shaw's supermarket, are both gone! The Town bought the strip of railroad behind Shaw's/Moriarty Brothers and some day the rail trail will be put together from north to south."
